August 23rd & 24th:                                                       
Children's Weekend
All kids 11 and under are admitted free. 
Princess & Pirate Party

from 11:30am - 12:30pm. 
Wee lads and lasses are invited to the Boars Head  (located near Market Stage) beginning at 11:30am for a  Princess and Pirate Party. 
 


August 30th, 31st & September 1st: 
Magic Weekend

A celebration featuring the finest magicians in the realm!

SPECIAL MAGICAL GUESTS: The Pickled Punks; Mike Rose, The Magic Kinda Guy; The Amazing Nocheaux. And don't miss the great talents our full-season magicians - Johnny Fox, swordswallower, Diego Natividad AKA Dinty the Moor, Bob's Majik Show (for the wee ones); Conundrum, street magician; Nymblewyke's Flea Circus.

CLOSE-UP MAGIC:

Near Customer Service, you can definitely catch some close-up and sleight of hand at the following times:

Conundrum with special guests including Bob Garman - 10am - 11am; 11am- Dinty the Moor.

 On the Boardwalk, across from Mom Crosewl's Magic Shop - 11am - Mike Rose;                  2:30pm - 3:30pm - Conundrum;   2:30pm & 4:30pm: Dinty the Moor

 AND DON'T MISS - Ballet Theatre of Maryland's "Excalibur" performed this weekend on the Globe Theatre at 4:30pm. 


September 1st: Seniors Day free!
On Labor Day Monday, all Seniors 62+ will be admitted free.

September 6th & 7th:
Irish Celebration

Music and dance from Ireland.  Special surprises in store!   SPECIAL THIS WEEKEND ONLY - enjoy an extra bonus hour - the Renaissance Festival will stay open until 8pm!

 Highlights include:

BOTH DAYS:

Keltish - traditional Irish Music.  Performing at Globe Theatre at 5:30pm & White Hart Tavern from 7pm - 8pm.

Maggie's Music - A Celtic Fair performing at Gatehouse Stage at 12noon.

The Interpreters (rated PG) performing a late night set at 7pm on the Globe Theatre.

Faith & Begora Irish dance & music at 12noon on the Boardwalk.

9/6: CeolmoCree - Irish dancing & music at 2pm & 3:30pm on Globe Theatre

9/6: James Gallagher & Off the Boat performing at 6:30pm on Market Stage

9/6: Cercamon performing a late day set at 7pm on Gatehouse Stage

9/7: Culkin Adult Irish Dancers performing at 2pm & 3:30pm on Globe Theatre

9/7: The Wild Rovers performing at 6:30pm on the Market Stage


Saturday, September 6th -
an ASL Performance Day.  Selected Stage shows will be interpreted by Sharava Interpreting Service.  Please visit our Customer Service Pavilion for the day's listing of interpreted shows.

September 13th & 14th:
Scottish Celebration
Music & dance from Scotland - and caber toss too!  Special Guest Performers:  After their premiere at the festival to enthusiastic crowds last season, Albannach returns to rock the house with their pipes & drums for our Scottish Celebration weekend.

Pirate Adventure Weekend

it's a Pirate invasion!

Seafaring, pirates, and the age of exploration.  This weekend we explore beyond the shores of England.  Learn about life at sea.  Hear stories of great adventures.  Music from our very own Pyrates Royale, and that visitng crew from the shores of New York - The Crimson Pirates.  Pirate costume contest for both adults & children.  Prizes will be awarded for the best pirate costume - head to toe. 


October 4th & 5th:
Oktoberfest!
German music and dancing!

Sunday, October 12th -
an ASL Performance Day.  Selected stage shows will be interpreted.

October 18th & 19th:
Chivalry Weekend

The Renaissance, a time of romance!  And on this weekend we celebrate chivalry and love.  The Mediaeval Baebes return to the MD Renaissance Festival to delight fans, and introduce music from their brand new CD.

On Sunday, October 19th, couples are invited to renew their commitment vows at a special ceremony at 11am at the Royal Stage, with a reception for couples to follow immediately at the White Hart Tavern
